Well taking the shuttle was the initial plan. I tried to book it at the beginning of August and even by that time it was totally booked for the 16th except a slot that was available fr 2.30PM. Glad that I didn't take that option cause otherwise I would have wasted 65$.

Well yes I try to avoid tight connections. We missed a connection once from LA to SFO and we had like 2 hours. But in this case I had 4 hours and I thought that was more than enough. Probably it is not enough when your having a bad run like this :).

I usually try to avoid short internal flight connections in the US .. its just too painful - no one wants to wait in the airport for a long time but at the same time putting a short connection time is asking for trouble.

Next time I suggest simply planning to take the shuttle from Chicago :).
